We are excited to introduce a new leadership opportunity at MLC - Head of Adventure Sport. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating the College's new Adventure Sport portfolio, which includes established programs in Kayaking, Equestrian and Snowsports, alongside brand new and emerging offerings such as skateboarding, surfing, ninja warrior, and sport climbing.Reporting to the Director of Sport, this position will manage coaching staff, Adventure Sport supervisors, and external providers to deliver a safe, dynamic and engaging sport program for our students.About the Role
  • Lead and coordinate the Adventure Sport portfolio across it's multiple disciplines.
  • Recruit, mentor and manage a team of coaches and providers.
  • Oversee student participation, safety, and wellbeing during training, competitions, and events.
  • Develop strong relationships with students, parents, and external stakeholders.
  • Manage compliance, risk, equipment, and health and safety requirements.
  • Organise events, camps, and competitions while promoting student engagement and growth.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sport to align Adventure Sport processes with College expectations.
About YouYou are an energetic and experienced leader with a passion for sport and youth development. You bring:
  • Sport Management qualifications or relevant experience in sporting industry
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating staff.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Experience in schools or youth sporting environments.
  • A strong understanding of the Victorian Child Safe Standards.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
