This position leads the Technician crew and performs a variety of administrative tasks as well as planning, scheduling and training. The Lead technician will provide daily safety leadership on site and be responsible for the efficient daily operation of the facility.Job DescriptionWe're seeking a dynamic Lead Technician to spearhead maintenance operations at our Waubra Wind Farm facility, located near Ballarat. As a key player, you'll lead a team of 8 technicians and oversee various supervisory tasks such as planning, scheduling, and training.Key duties include:
Supervise and lead a team of 8 technicians to ensure smooth operations and optimal performance.
Foster a positive safety culture and provide daily safety leadership on-site in collaboration with the Fleet Manager.
Implement monthly, weekly, and daily planning through the Operational Excellence Program to maximise labour efficiency and equipment utilisation.
Ensure the execution of all daily scheduled works and report any discrepancies through the Operational Excellence program to maintain operational integrity.
Oversee contractors to ensure safe and efficient performance of quality work, achieving annual KPIs and maintaining accurate documentation.

Electrical or Mechanical trade qualification and/or background within power generation, mining, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors.
Previous supervisory or staff management experience.
Experience with scheduling and planning maintenance jobs.
Demonstrated proficiency in using online maintenance and operational systems.
Willingness to work occasional overtime and/or weekends.
Possess a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
