- A Fixed-Term, Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service for 12 months
- VPS Grade 6: $130,673 - $174,869 plus superannuation.
- Providing management, guidance and leadership based on advanced expertise to a team of Industrial Relations professionals
- Being responsible for developing and implementing processes and quality standards which ensure the Industrial Relations team can meet all service objectives. This includes development of any necessary work plans, coordination of work allocation, reporting and analysis requirements
- Providing expert support and authoritative employment and industrial relations advice, which includes a clear assessment, consideration and articulation of risk, to executive and senior management stakeholders on a range of highly complex and sensitive employment issues.
- Significant experience in the provision of authoritative employee and industrial relations advice and issue management to deliver successful organisational outcomes, preferably within a Government workplace
- An expert understanding of the legislative and industrial framework that applies to the Victorian Public Service, including the Public Administration Act 2004, the Fair Work Act 2009 and the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement 2020
- A strong ability to identify key messages and information required for decision-making and provide high level advice on influencing and the needs of target audiences. Able to provide advice on the content and style appropriate to the audience.
- A tertiary qualification in employment law or a related field is highly desirable.
