Eligibility: Open to EveryoneThe Teachers Registration Board of South Australia (TRB SA) is the statutory authority responsible for regulating the teaching profession across the state. Established under the Teachers Registration and Standards Act 2004 and its accompanying regulations, the Board ensures that all educators meet rigorous professional standards to maintain the integrity and quality of education in South Australia. The Board operates in the public interest to ensure members are competent, fit and proper persons to have the care of children. The primary responsibility of TRBSA is the welfare of children and young people.Reporting to the Presiding Member (effective Chair) of the governing Board, this critical hands-on leadership role will have responsibility for:
- managing the day-to-day functions and activities of the TRBSA in accordance with legal and Board requirements, including the statutory, disciplinary and prosecutorial responsibilities;
- providing expert advice to the Board on governance, policy and procedures, financial, human resources and budgets to ensure the effective operation of the organisation;
- leading, motivating, developing and managing a high functioning team to meet the organisation’s important responsibilities;
- working closely with a variety of stakeholders including government and non-government organisations, and both local and national industry and professional bodies.
