Funded by the Commonwealth, the program helps individuals affected by gambling harm, explore options, and build long-term money management skills. It also connects clients with other services to support their wellbeing and reduce the risk of further harm.Your role, your impactAs a Financial Counsellor, you’ll be a trusted advocate for people navigating the challenges of gambling-related financial distress. You’ll provide holistic, trauma-informed support that helps clients understand their options, regain financial control, and build long-term capability.In this role, you will:Deliver comprehensive financial assessments to understand each client’s unique situationProvide tailored information, advice, and advocacy to support informed decision-makingDevelop case plans that consider cultural, social, and mental health factorsNegotiate with creditors and financial institutions on behalf of clientsEngage with the community to raise awareness and build referral pathwaysCollaborate with allied services to ensure wraparound supportMaintain accurate recordsin Each’s client management system and uphold compliance standardsContribute to service planning and improvementEngage in supervision, team meetings and professional developmentContribute to service planning and improvementWho we’re looking forDiploma of Community Services – Financial Counselling (fully completed)CHCSS00111 Problem Gambling Skill Set (or equivalent)Professional membership with Financial Counselling Queensland (FCQ)Current driver’s licenseExperience in financial counselling, ideally in a community or not-for-profit settingKnowledge of relevant legislation and financial counselling standardsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyWhat’s in it for youAt Each you’ll be supported to be your best.
