About the roleThis position is a permanent full-time role in the Development and Compliance team, based at Moruya. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high level of professional service to Council and the community with respect to planning, development and building matters. The role is responsible for carrying out the assessment of buildings, swimming pools and other structures in accordance with legislation and Council policy. The successful candidate will ensure that developments within the Shire comply with their approval documents.The starting salary for this position is $98,434.39 per annum plus 12% superannuation.To view the salary information and prerequisites, please view the .About youTo be the successful candidate, you will hold tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying, Urban Planning or Bachelor of Applied Science (Environment Health) or equivalent qualifications and/or equivalent experience within the industry. You have high level experience and competencies specific to the work being performed and knowledge of relevant building, planning and environmental legislation, standards and guidelines. Computer literacy with expertise in MS office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and GIS Mapping.
