It is this blend of technical expertise and the personal relationships we have with our clients that sets us apart from our competitors.About the RoleThis fantastic opportunity is for a motivated Solicitor/Associate to join our high-performing, fast paced Recoveries team in our Sydney or Melbourne office. Ideally, you will be a 1-4 year post qualification Lawyer with a keen interest in insurance litigation.This role will see you managing a practice of litigated and unlitigated motor vehicle property damage recoveries and settlements matters under the supervision and guidance of our Recoveries Principals. You will receive constant mentoring from Senior Lawyers and will form part of our wider Recoveries Team which boasts a collegiate, innovative and collaborative culture, making it the perfect environment for you to develop your advocacy skills, strategic-advice work, and practice management skills.About YouTo be considered for this opportunity, you will need:

A genuine interest in Insurance law or Litigation
1-4 years post - admission experience in an Insurance practice, preferably with some motor or property damage recoveries experience
Ability to work fast and meticulously with high attention to detail
Excellent communication and organisational skill
Ability to work collaboratively with a strong sense of initiative and autonomy
A great work ethic and be keen to learn and develop your career
A hard working and dedicated approach to your practice

Skills & Abilities

Demonstrates an understanding of the legal issues relevant to the practice of insurance law and a demonstrated ability to understand and respond to the commercial objectives of clients.
This role requires an eye for technical detail but also the ability to provide legal advice in a commercial context. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate clearly with a high level of attention to detail.
Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels of seniority.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to deal confidently with clients directly and foster client relationships.
Time management skills and proven ability to prioritise multiple active matters at any one time.
Capacity to problem solve and think laterally
