- Identify and pursue new customer acquisition and new sales opportunities in a diverse portfolio of timber across industrial manufacturing and other industries.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential customers, market trends and competitors.
- Drive further sales activity in conjunction with developing and implementing strategic plans for long-term business growth.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to facilitate client needs fulfilment.
- Ensure effective deployment and activation of growth products and new product development.
- Analyse buying trends, data, and other analytics.
- Previous experience in business development, with a hunter mentality
- Wide and diverse knowledge of timber (i.e. decking, flooring, panels, moulding)
- Demonstrated ability to grow business from new lead generation.
- A self-starter with demonstrated ability to build long-term strategic partnerships/relationships with new customers.
- Proven track record of driving growth and development in a target-driven environment.
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and influential abilities to inspire growth and drive business success.
- Customer-centric mindset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with the team and foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Valid driver's licence and a willingness to travel as required.
