Job DescriptionCoordinator - Homestay & Immediate Housing Response
Mt Isa, SCHADS 6 plus salary packaging, extra allowance and sign on bonusYou will be a coordinator of a team that plays a vital role in supporting individuals and families across rural and remote regions. Working alongside a Crisis Intervention Team, this program delivers immediate housing solutions to people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. Clients include First Nations peoples, families impacted by domestic and family violence, young families, older people, and those living in unsafe or unsuitable housing situations such as tents or cars.The program also supports clients with financial resilience education, long-term housing planning, and provides young people at risk of homelessness with pathways to reconnect with family and community through the Reconnect Program.About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Coordinator - Homestay & Immediate Housing Response to lead a committed team of Case Workers and Associate Case Workers. Acting as the local program lead, the Coordinator will ensure high-quality service delivery that meets organisational standards, funding body requirements, and-most importantly-the needs of clients.This role involves:Leading, mentoring, and supporting a passionate team.Coordinating service delivery, workloads, and rosters.Overseeing reporting, evaluation, and compliance.Building and maintaining strong stakeholder and community partnerships.Representing the program as a trusted leader in housing and homelessness support.What We're Looking ForA degree in Social Work, Human Services, or Behavioural Sciences; OR Certificate IV in Community Services (or equivalent) with at least 2 years' experience in case management.Demonstrated experience in leadership, program delivery, evaluation, and outcome measurement.Strong knowledge of housing support services, relevant legislation, and culturally safe practice.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and reporting skills.A current open driver's licence, Blue Card, and NDIS Yellow Card (or ability to obtain).Desirable:Experience in group facilitation.Background in community services or faith-based organisations.Ability to thrive in a multi-disciplinary team environment.Why Join Us?
