Haileybury is seeking a passionate and experienced French Language Assistant to join our team in a full-time (1.0 FTE), ongoing role.This is a fantastic opportunity to support and enrich students’ learning across both our Melbourne and Pangea Campuses. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing language acquisition and cultural understanding in a dynamic and collaborative educational environment.Main Responsibilities
  • Support Student Learning: Reinforce speaking skills in one-on-one or small group settings, assist with classroom activities, and extend or support students based on their language proficiency.
  • Resource Preparation & Differentiation: Help prepare teaching resources and tailor reading materials to suit varying levels of language fluency.
  • Monitor Progress & Collaborate: Track student progress, maintain communication with language teaching staff, and support with behavioural or learning concerns.
About youWe are looking for a team member who is:
  • A native French speaker with a strong grasp of the language’s history and cultural heritage
  • Well-versed in the Victorian and Australian language curricula
  • Experienced Language Assistant supporting Middle Years students
  • Skilled in engaging learners both in-person and through online platforms
