- Design, build, and maintain scalable and robust ETL pipelines that support the extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various systems.
- Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and domain specialists to understand key data requirements and deliver optimized data solutions.
- Monitor and optimize database infrastructure to enable efficiency, reliability, and scalability for large datasets.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are consistently met across systems.
- Implement cloud-based data storage systems and migrate on-premise data systems when applicable.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data engineering processes and frameworks.
- Provide support during major data initiatives, such as migration, reporting enhancements, or analytics integration efforts.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-centric role (e.g., 3-5 years of experience).
- Advanced knowledge of Python, SQL, or other programming/querying languages for data processing.
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar frameworks.
- Proficient in working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for data warehousing (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery).
- Exposure to data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms (preferred).
- Experience with education technology or analytics tools tailored to the education sector is a plus.
