Josef Chromy Tasmania is a renowned winery located in the picturesque Tamar Valley, just 10 minutes south of Launceston in northern Tasmania. Since its founding in 2007 by Josef Chromy OAM-a pioneer in Tasmania's wine industry-the estate has grown to include 61 hectares of cool-climate vineyards in the Tamar Valley, with additional 17 hectares in the Coal River Valley.
We specialize in producing traditional-method sparkling wines from classic varieties such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, alongside a diverse range of premium still wines including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Sauvignon Blanc.
Read more about us here: https://josefchromy.com.au/We are currently seeking experienced Cellar Hands and Laboratory Technicians that are enthusiastic, hard working and self motivated to join our team for the upcoming vintage season.Vintage Cellar Hands will be involved in all facets of wine production including grape receival and processing, racking, additions, inoculations, fermentation and cap management, barrel work, winery sanitation and cleaning amongst other jobs.
Laboratory Technicians will process grape maturity samples, monitor fermentations, conduct all general juice/wine analysis in our well equipped lab, enter data into Vintrace and participate in cellar work as required.Remuneration is in accordance with the Australian Wine Industry Award, dependent upon experience, and onsite accommodation at a subsidized weekly rate is available.Being part of Endeavour Group, a few extra perks are on offer:

Job Requirements Applicants must have a great work ethic and a positive attitude, be fit and healthy (able to lift 20kg and undergo a pre-employment workplace medical assessment), display a high level of initiative and be able to work in a high-pressure environment.
We anticipate vintage to begin in late February and run to mid-late April, with approximately 8-10 weeks of work.
Applicants must be flexible and available to work in shifts (day or night) of up to 12 hours and up to 6 days per week including weekends as dictated by the season and work load.Prior cellar/laboratory experience is required, and specific job training will be provided.An Australian accredited forklift license is highly desirable.Applicants must have Australian citizenship/residency or a valid existing Australian work visa.Please forward a copy of your CV and cover letter, including at least 2 references using the APPLY FOR JOB link above.
