- Simulation of subsea lifts, flexlay, moorings and tow operations;
- Hydrodynamic modelling of vessels;
- Vessel stability assessment;
- A four-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering (preferably Ocean Engineering/Naval Architecture), that is recognised by Engineers Australia for Professional Membership;
- Creative self-starter and practical problem-solver;
- Demonstrable ability to use Orcaflex software for simulation of typical DOF operations;
- Programming experience (python or similar, advanced MS Excel skills);
- Basic AutoCad skills (Rhino modelling experience is an advantage);
- Demonstrated excellence in English report writing (MS Word) and presentation of calculations and results (MS Excel), tailoring reporting to suit the intended audience;
- Ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience;
- Recent experience in analysis of subsea installation and recovery methods including SURF projects;
- First-principles understanding of splash-zone hydrodynamics and ship motions;
- Proven ability to design and specify lift and tow rigging to DNV standards;
- A strong commitment to HSEQ.
