The teamThe People, Transformation & Technology Group leads transformational change at ASIC by investing in people, processes, and technology. It unites digital, data, and tech teams—supported by the enterprise program office—to drive innovation while maintaining core systems. The portfolio includes Registry Interactions Services, Modernising Business Registers, and the Information Technology team, which powers ASIC's transformation agenda through digital solutions and platform delivery.The roleThe AWS Engineer supports designing, building, and maintaining the AWS infrastructure that supports mission-critical applications.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Build and manage scalable AWS infrastructure using best practices
  • Use IaC tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Configure networks (VPCs, subnets, peering, NAT, Transit Gateway)
  • Automate provisioning and deployment with CI/CD, Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions
  • Containerize workloads with ECS, EKS, or Fargate
  • Set up monitoring and alerts via CloudWatch, X-Ray, or Grafana
  • Partner with engineering, security, and ops to deliver infrastructure solutions
  • Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews
  • Improve DevOps workflows and engineering standards
About youA successful applicant should possess many or all of the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience supporting production environments.
  • Solid experience with IaC and automation (Terraform and CloudFormation).
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Proficiency with DevOps toolchains (Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps).
  • Knowledge of serverless architectures and event-driven design.
  • AWS Certification: Associate or Professional-Level is a plus.
