The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of the outage schedule, ensuring effective resource management, daily progress tracking, and reporting. This role requires proficiency in Microsoft Project, a strong understanding of resource allocation, and the ability to create and manage data-driven reports.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Outage Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and refine detailed outage schedules using Microsoft Project, ensuring alignment with outage plans, resources, and milestones.
Resource Management: Coordinate and allocate resources, assigning the appropriate labour, tools, and materials to efficiently meet outage requirements.
Daily Updates: Collaborate with supervisors and team leads to collect, validate, and update daily outage progress and activity status.
Earned Value Reporting: Generate and analyse reports to track performance indicators, including Earned Value (EV), and provide insights to ensure project success.
Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with project teams, engineers, contractors, and management to ensure all stakeholders have visibility into the project timeline and critical path items.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks or delays in the schedule and provide mitigation strategies to minimize impact on overall project delivery.
Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards throughout outage planning and execution processes.
Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and improve scheduling processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
About You:
Proficiency in Microsoft Project: Hands-on experience in creating, editing, and analysing complex schedules, including resource allocation and critical path analysis.
Strong knowledge of earned value metrics and the ability to produce clear, actionable reports.
Demonstrated experience in project scheduling for complex outage projects, preferably in a power station, energy, or industrial environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with supervisors, team members, and stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines under pressure.
Strong analytical skills combined with attention to detail to ensure accurate scheduling and reporting.
