Job Title: Civil Estimator - Shaping the Future of Greener Energy

Company Overview:Our client, a prominent Energy Services and Infrastructure company, is leading the charge in transforming the energy landscape towards sustainability. With a strong commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship, they are seeking a dedicated Civil Estimator to join their team in Brisbane, playing a vital role in paving the way towards a brighter, cleaner future.Position Overview:We are searching for a motivated and experienced Civil Estimator who shares our client's passion for sustainable energy solutions. In this role, you will be instrumental in estimating and managing civil construction projects that drive the development of energy infrastructure, particularly in the renewables sector.Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilise your expertise to accurately estimate the costs associated with civil construction projects, spanning site preparation, bulk earthworks, foundations, and infrastructure development.
  • Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to comprehend project requirements, developing comprehensive cost estimates aligned with budgetary constraints and sustainability objectives.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to identify potential risks, opportunities, and cost-saving measures.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in renewable energy and civil construction, integrating insights to inform estimation processes and enhance project outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and procurement specialists, ensuring seamless coordination and timely delivery of project estimates.
  • Develop spreadsheets for costing labor and materials, meeting tender requirements.
  • Prepare tenders and proposals, offering valuable input into supply and subcontract agreements.
  • Review contract performance, identifying more effective contract options for improved project execution.
About You:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Civil Estimator, with a minimum of 5 years in Estimating.
  • Strong background in bulk earthworks estimation and management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Deep understanding of the construction process and industry standards.
