
Maintenance Fitter

- Performing planned preventive maintenance (PPM), corrective maintenance and urgent breakdown repairs on a wide range of mechanical and process equipment
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults to minimise equipment downtime and maintain optimal production efficiency
- Conducting mechanical adjustments, overhauls and replacement of components including motors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, conveyors and pneumatic systems
- Interpreting technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals to guide maintenance tasks
- Supporting production by responding quickly to unplanned stoppages and ensuring equipment is safely returned to service
- Documenting maintenance activities, updating service records in the CMMS, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (or equivalent recognised qualification)
- Proven hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within FMCG, food processing or a similarly regulated, fast-paced production environment
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation
- Sound understanding of safe work practices and relevant WHS regulations
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team
- Flexibility to work autonomously, prioritising tasks under time constraints
