- 12 month contract assignment with potential for extension

- Working 8:30am-5:00pm Monday to Friday
- Work with likeminded individuals on a quest to address the unique challenges of the care economy and human services markets.
- Engage in theoretical and practical policy considerations regarding the current and future states of the supports markets.
- Apply statistical and economic modelling and research methods, using large datasets, to understand the functioning of markets and propose ways of improving it.
- Address information asymmetries and market failures by carefully designing pilot studies that fill information gaps and test new solutions.
- Work effectively across teams and departments, and in collaboration with experts and academics, to understand priorities and build a shared understanding.
- Make major impacts on the allocation of the Scheme resources that are projected to grow
- The team examines a range of cross-cutting economic issues in the organisation and broader care sectors using economic analysis, research frameworks, and modelling Tools.
- The Team applies economic thinking and advanced data analysis to support the organisations pricing decisions that maximise participant wellbeing from available resources while preserving Scheme sustainability at the same time.
- Must hold Australian Citizenship
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills applied to understanding complex economic issues and working toward practical solutions.
- Structured thinking about quantitative and qualitative problems, and development of analytical frameworks.
- Quantitative mindset with technical skills to handling and analyse data
- Competence in building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, both internal and external.
- Ability to pass any of the following checks as required: National Criminal History Records Check (NCHRC), Working with Children/Vulnerable People Check (where required), Company specific Worker Screening Check, Security Clearance (where required), and satisfactory referee reports
- A postgraduate degree in economics and econometrics, or similar
- Experience working on the economic challenges of the care economy
- Proficiency with a major statistical software package (R, Python, Stata, SAS).
