Full time - Permanent - Commencing Term 4 2025What is the Role?The School is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, experienced secondary school educator to join our committed and professional staff as the Head of Department, Christian Development. This is a full-time, permanent position, commencing Term 4, 2025.Flexibility to start Term 1 2026 for a suitable candidate.Who will the successful applicant be?
  • Experienced, with recent engagement, as a secondary school educator in teaching Christian Development Years 7-12 and Stage 6 Studies of Religion
  • Theologically qualified at a Diploma level or higher
  • Enthusiastic about their subject and the ability to inspire secondary age students
  • Flexible in working with a range of student abilities
  • Knowledgeable of recent developments in the theory and practice of senior secondary pedagogy and specifically how this applies to their subject area
  • Experienced in leadership in curriculum development and implementation of new syllabuses
  • Highly developed in communication and collaboration skills
  • Outstanding in interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the Christian Development/Chaplaincy team
  • Confident in the use of technology and a willingness to embrace it to enhance learning in the classroom
  • Understanding of and having a commitment to the School’s Christian mission, values, and ethos
