This full-time, ongoing position is based at a new campus in Cobblebank, and involves instructing students in grades 7-8. - Planning and delivering engaging lessons in Humanities subjects such as History, Geography, Civics, Economics, and Social Studies, under the Victorian Curriculum.
- Providing clear and effective instruction to students, utilising various teaching methods and resources to facilitate learning and understanding of Humanities topics.
- Utilising digital resources, interactive whiteboards, educational software, and online platforms to support instruction and assessment.
- Developing and adapting curriculum materials, including textbooks, worksheets, and multimedia resources, to meet the needs of diverse learners and enhance student engagement.
- Establishing and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student success.
- Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to address disciplinary issues and promote respectful and cooperative behaviour.
- Collaborating with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student learning and well-being. Communicating regularly with parents regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development activities to enhance teaching skills, stay abreast of current educational trends and research, and meet licensure or certification requirements.
- Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
- Maintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Humanities
- Previous experience teaching within the Catholic System advantageous
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
- Teaching General Humanities to students in years 7-8- other methods are welcomed

- Salary aligned with demonstrated expertise, ranging from $80,000 to $115,000
