The OpportunityAshurst combines the benefits of a leading Restructuring and Special Situations Group practice with a supportive and collegiate environment. Consistently ranked Band 1 by Chambers, our team operates at the forefront of the restructuring and insolvency market, providing clients with unrivalled, invaluable market knowledge gained from our deep industry experience.We are seeking a junior - mid level lawyer to assist with these complex restructuring matters. Prior restructuring experience is not required, however you should have worked on top tier technical and sophisticated banking transactions and have a desire to build your career in restructuring.Ashurst has a proven track record in developing its lawyers and the vacancy represents an outstanding opportunity for a team-player with an impressive commercial approach, who is keen to build on their technical skills in this area.A full job description including a breakdown of responsibilities can be found attached to the role on our careers pageWe are interested in hearing from people who have:
  • 2 - 4 years' restructuring and insolvency advisory experience gained within a top-tier firm or by a combination of top-tier and in-house
  • Prior restructuring experience is not required or expected, however you should have worked on technical and sophisticated corporate/banking transactions and have a desire to build your career in restructuring.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Solid drafting ability.
  • A commercial approach and an ability to articulate and negotiate effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills.
  • The ability to be team-focused and also work independently.
