This includes undertaking first line delivery/pick up services and higher-level support with chemical projects.Key responsibilities will include:Manage Chemstore operations, including waste processing, delivery, and relocations.Provide high-level advice on chemicals and waste.Ensure best practice in chemical waste processing.Engage with stakeholders to meet UQ requirements.Assist with financial management of Chemstore operations.Conduct regular operational reviews and adjustments.Advise on chemical importation.Improve chemical management practices.Maintain inventory registers.Act as the Chemstore Drugs and Controlled Substances Officer.For a full Position Description, please email .This is a full-time (100%), fixed-term position for up to 12 months.At HEW level 7, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $96,649.64 - $105,244.58, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $113,080.08 - $123,136.16 annually. As these roles are covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases in line with the Enterprise Agreement.About YouBachelor of Science (Honours) in Chemistry, with at least four years’ experience working with organic chemicals, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/trainingAbility to work under broad direction efficiently with a number of stakeholders and undertake complex problem-solving tasksCurrent drivers’ license.Current First Aid and CPR certification.Forklift licence or willingness to obtainExcellent communication skillsChemical Waste Management experienceRelevant stores experienceExperience supervising a teamIATA and ADG training for shipping Dangerous GoodsKnowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and the ADG codeIn addition, the following mandatory requirements apply:Work Rights: You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply.
