
Assistant in Nursing, Aged care casual shifts

- Assisting residents with their personal care needs, including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assisting with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and comfort of residents.
- Assisting residents with meals and fluids, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Observing and reporting any changes in residents' condition or behaviour to the nursing staff.
- Assisting with basic observations such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, as directed by nursing staff.
- Maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for residents, including assisting with bed making and tidying resident areas.
- Providing emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
- Assisting with activities of daily living and encouraging resident participation in social and recreational activities.
- Adhering to facility policies and procedures, including infection control and safety guidelines.
- Working collaboratively with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals.
- Completion of a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated experience (paid or unpaid) providing personal care to individuals, preferably within an aged care setting in Australia.
- A genuine passion for caring for residents and a commitment to providing person-centered care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact respectfully and empathetically with residents, families, and staff.
- The ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- A current and valid National Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check (as required by legislation and facility policies).
- A willingness to obtain a current Influenza vaccination (annual renewal required).
- Willingness to obtain COVID-19 vaccinations as required by facility policies.
