
Motorcycle Traffic Response Unit

- Monday to Friday (plus extra un-rostered hours available paid at overtime rates)

You will be required to work Monday to Friday, morning (05h00 - 13h00) and afternoon shifts (13h00 - 21h00) Your shifts commence at Stretton, Murarrie and Bowen Hills. Duties include -
- First responder to traffic incidents / breakdowns along major roads and highways including the AirportlinkM7, Clem7, Legacy Way, Inner City Bypass, Go Between Bridge and the Gateway and Logan Motorways
- Support our Situational Incident Response Officers where applicable
- Work towards the safety of your team, road users and other related parties whilst engaging in conflict resolution and managing critical incidents
- Ensure optimum safe lane availability and relay up-to-date information to the public, supervisors, and the wider response team
- Operate a range of vehicles to assist with all aspects of civil maintenance support (including 4WD utility, attenuator truck and tow trucks)
- Work closely with emergency services and as well as provide road trauma first aid and small compartmental firefighting when required and safe to do so
- Emergency make safe activities for road network restoration and to return the roads to normal operational condition
- Motorcycle and MR drivers' licence (zero court cancellations or suspensions)
- Be highly experienced in motor cycle operations
- Construction white card
- Must be able to work both day and night shift
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Level headed and calm when working under pressure with strong self-awareness
- Incident management experience (minimum 5 years)
- Must hold full working rights in Australia.
