The RoleThis role is a hands-on and desk role roughly 60:40 centred around facility and pool plant operations ensuring safety and risk management. Tasks include pool plant works, garden maintenance, “fix-it” jobs throughout the Hepburn Bathhouse, Spa, Pavilion & Accommodation. This is an exciting opportunity for (1) experienced Lifeguards/ Duty Managers looking to further their future career in the industry with a focus on the plant room OR (2) An apprentice or qualified plumber or electrician looking for a sea change.The Maintenance Operations Assistant is responsible for the efficient daily operations and contractor engagement of Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa. Ensuring the facility is running at full operations each day with a small amount of administration for invoice approving, report writing and documentation and efficient operating methods are maintained.Working under the leadership of our Maintenance Assistant, you will require excellent communication skills, be well presented, friendly, and be able to talk on various matters of venue maintenance and pool operations.A reasonable level of computer competence will be very much appreciated (we need to write reports and take photos).About YouYou will have a proven track record in your attention to detail, which will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our maintenance processes, ultimately helping achieve operational goals.Experience in driving a customer centric approach to the provision of services is essential, while establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders will be second nature.The ideal applicant will possess the following experience / qualifications / skills:

Excellent verbal communication skills
Driven to success with friendly can do attitude
An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends

Required qualifications

Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
National Police Check
Working with Children Check
Electrician or plumping apprentice/ background or
1-2 years Aquatic Duty Managing experience
Previous experience and success in a comparable role
