Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional with a passion for accuracy and service excellence? Join our dynamic Shared Services team, where your work will directly impact the financial performance and operational success of our business.
We are seeking a Payroll Operations Officer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to delivering timely and accurate payroll services. This role is integral to our payroll operations and involves working closely with internal branches and stakeholders to ensure compliance, efficiency, and exceptional service delivery.Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurate and timely processing of manual and electronic time sheets.
  • Deliver payroll reports (predefined and custom) and support audits.
  • Provide payroll-related support and advice to branches and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, superannuation requirements, and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with Client Setup and other teams to improve system processes and templates.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process development.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in payroll processing.
  • Working knowledge of Astute Payroll software is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of payroll and superannuation legislation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Experience processing casual payroll for the New Zealand job market is desirable.
  • Knowledge of FT360 systems is desirable but not mandatory.
