You will have the opportunity to work on interesting and diverse projects, both around the Coffs Harbour region and further afield, delivering positive environmental solutions to our clients, and to regional Australia.The role will involve leading project delivery for our team and developing new opportunities, managing and directing projects, strategic planning and continuing to foster our client relationships. We will provide you with opportunities to further broaden your expertise while collaborating with industry-leading consultants on projects that make a real difference. From environmental impact assessment to stakeholder engagement and future planning, you’ll be part of something purposeful -while building your expertise across diverse, exciting project stages. For the right person this role could also develop into an operational leadership role.The Mid North Coast Region of NSW is undergoing a period of transformative growth, supporting the New England Renewable Energy Zone, the conservation estate, urban expansion and local and state signific infrastructure development. This could be your chance to make your mark and contribute to positive environmental outcomes at this pivotal point in NSW history.About youThis role will allow you to combine your passion for environmental management, industry networking and well-developed writing and project management skills to create high quality work and great outcomes for our clients and the environment.We think you will love this role if you’re the type of person who has:
  • A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Planning or related field - come to us with your technical niche - let’s talk about how you’ll fit in
  • At least 10 years industry experience (as a guide)
  • Consulting experience (highly desirable) and ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines
  • Business development experience with a proven track record of winning work, and a passion for building and nurturing professional networks
  • Experience mentoring and developing others in your area of expertise
  • Confidence in meeting, advising and working with clients and regulators
  • Strong working knowledge and application of environmental and planning legislation and regulations including the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016, and the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing a range of high-quality consulting reports, including for State Significant Developments, environmental assessment, planning approvals, monitoring and management
  • Sound communication and stakeholder engagement skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others both internally and externally
  • Current Australian driver’s licence and ability to travel as required.
