- Provide expert advice on employee relations and workplace policies.
- Lead a small team of 1-2, managing grievance, performance, and conduct cases.
- Support managers with interpreting employment legislation and agreements.
- Assist in managing workplace disputes and employee grievances.
- Contribute to drafting and reviewing HR policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with workplace laws.
- Coordinate and oversee external providers, including legal counsel and investigators, to support case referrals and advisory matters.
- Deliver training sessions on employee relations matters as required.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of workplace cases.
- Provide guidance on performance management and disciplinary processes.
- A background in human resources, employment law, or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment legislation and workplace relations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex cases.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience in managing sensitive workplace matters with confidentiality.
- A proactive approach to delivering tailored workplace advice.
- The ability to work effectively in a public sector environment.
- VPS 6 equivalent to $87.39-$102.17 per hour + super
