  • Provide expert advice on employee relations and workplace policies.
  • Lead a small team of 1-2, managing grievance, performance, and conduct cases.
  • Support managers with interpreting employment legislation and agreements.
  • Assist in managing workplace disputes and employee grievances.
  • Contribute to drafting and reviewing HR policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with workplace laws.
  • Coordinate and oversee external providers, including legal counsel and investigators, to support case referrals and advisory matters.
  • Deliver training sessions on employee relations matters as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of workplace cases.
  • Provide guidance on performance management and disciplinary processes.
The Successful ApplicantA successful Employee Relations and Workplace Advisor should have:
  • A background in human resources, employment law, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment legislation and workplace relations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex cases.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience in managing sensitive workplace matters with confidentiality.
  • A proactive approach to delivering tailored workplace advice.
  • The ability to work effectively in a public sector environment.
Candidate must have Victoria Public Service experience.What's on Offer
