Explore to learn more about us.About the role - The Grounds and Maintenance Officer will be required to work directly for St Peter Chanel Primary School. The role holder is responsible to the Principal, however, may report to the WHSO/Compliance Officer.About you - You will bring to the role:

Experience working outdoors and performance of manual tasks on a daily basis
Previous experience in caring for large garden and lawn areas
Knowledge of the requirements for the safe use and storage of horticultural chemicals
Experience in the use of hand tools and power equipment used in the maintenance of facilities, gardens and lawn areas
Ability to work independently as well as a part of dedicated team
Demonstrated planning and prioritisation of work based on seasonal conditions and school routines
General knowledge and skills in carpentry, plumbing and electrical

Qualifications:

Current C-class Drivers Licence

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
