About the CompanyOur client is a leading international university known for its excellence in teaching and research. Ranked among the leading universities in the world, the university is known for its academic excellence, pioneering research and commitment to fostering a vibrant community.About the RoleThe Social Media Advisor will be responsible for collaborating with various stakeholders across the university to implement social media strategies and meet marketing, communication and engagement objectives. Reporting to the Social Media Manager, this role involves generating, distributing and repurposing content that is engaging and accessible to effectively reach and engage their audience whilst enhancing its brand identity.Responsibilities include:
  • Support the management and moderation of social media channels to enhance and grow the brand and reputation
  • Produce, distribute and repurpose engaging, innovative and shareable content across various social media channels including short and long form video content, written content, etc.
  • Provide support, training and advice to professional staff in the use of social media strategy, operation and reporting
  • Support the Social Media Manager with providing regular reporting and escalation of issues
  • Undertake research and benchmarking activities to identify and analyse new or emerging engagement opportunities and provide recommendations
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders
About You
  • Around 3+ years of demonstrated work experience within relevant marketing and communications field
  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, business or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training
  • Demonstrated successful delivery of social media initiatives within a large and complex organisation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast paced and agile environment and utilise creative thinking
  • Experienced in using software and Social Media management tools including Sprout (or similar), Ads Manager, Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
