- Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with Australian accounting standards.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to maintain smooth financial operations.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including GST and BAS lodgements.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements in financial operations.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional membership or working towards CPA or CA accreditation.
- Big 4 or Mid tier Audit experience required.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience in the Energy & Natural Resources sector would be advantageous.
- A competitive salary of AUD 90,000 to AUD 110,000 + Superannuation depending on experience.
