- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Mine Environmental Control.

- Graduate Diploma in Mine Ventilation.
- Postgraduate coursework or qualification in mine ventilation.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a mining or tunneling environment.
- Proficiency in mine ventilation software (e.g., VUMA, Ventsimâ„¢).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong understanding of regulatory standards and safety practices.
- Develop sustainable and compliant ventilation designs.
- Produce underground ventilation concepts, layouts, and execution plans.
- Conduct scenario planning and cost estimation (CAPEX/OPEX).
- Identify and manage risks to improve system reliability and performance.
- Conduct ventilation surveys and implement testing areas.
- Calibrate and maintain ventilation instrumentation.
- Update ventilation network models using Ventsim or VUMA.
- Select appropriate ventilation equipment (fans, controls, ducting, filtration systems).
