I am looking for a Technical Officer for a government agency in Townsville. This role would be a great fit for a construction tradesperson or a works officer who is interested in transitioning into a more technical advisory position with Qld Government AgencyDuties include:
  • Liaising with Government Stakeholders regarding Government buildings, Schools, Hospitals etc
  • Assign the correct priority to the breakdown
  • Provide technical advice to Contractors in terms of repair decisions
  • Review Condition Reports provided by contractors
  • Provide reporting on breakdown status
  • Undertake on-site Condition assessment
About you:
  • Trade qualification (mandatory)
  • Intermediate level of MS Excel skills including being able to create spreadsheets to monitor construction tenders
  • Experience in tendering and costing for the construction industry
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with customers and in-house staff both written and verbal
