Biomedical TechnicianThe bustling city of Rockhampton is a thirty-minute drive to the Southern Great Barrier Reef, Great Keppel Island and is surrounded by many beautiful national parks offering weekend adventures at every turn.Rockhampton offers affordable housing, excellent educational facilities, and the average commute to work only 15 minutes, allowing plenty of time for family and lifestyle activities.Reporting to the Biomedical Engineer, you will be responsible to carry out preventative maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and breakdown services to biomedical and other hospital equipment within the guidelines set out it in relevant Standards, technical manuals, and hospital policies. You will provide front-line support and documentation to clinical staff in a manner which is consistent with our Ramsay values.Initially this role will be full-time, scaling back to permanent part-time with a minimum of 60hrs per fortnight in Dec 2024. The successful candidate will participate in a Monday - Friday roster, including on-call components.To be successful in this role…You will use your previous experience to deliver a high standard of biomedical service and thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes sensitive, and pressured work environment. You will have a strong attention to detail and technical aptitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing situations.What we are looking for:
  • Qualification: Associate Diploma in a relevant discipline (or willingness to complete).
  • License: restricted electrical work license or progressing towards one.
  • Experience in a technical customer support or field service role.
  • Knowledge of relevant industrial standards, fault finding technique, use and function of biomedical equipment.
  • Accurate record keeping skills with previous experience using an asset management system.
