Their close-knit team values collaboration, accountability, and dedication to achieving outstanding outcomes.The Opportunity:An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a small, collaborative finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll play a hands-on role in overseeing day-to-day accounting functions and supporting the delivery of accurate, timely financial information. This role offers the chance to work across a diverse range of finance responsibilities, providing both variety and ownership.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Finance Manager in overseeing the organisation’s financial operations, ensuring processes are accurate, efficient, and compliant.
- Managing full-function accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payment runs, and resolving supplier queries.
- Preparing monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, and balance sheet reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy.
- Completing general ledger and bank reconciliations in line with reporting deadlines.
- Reviewing and analysing expenses to support budget monitoring and cost control.
- Contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and month-end processes, providing valuable insights to management.
- Assisting with administrative tasks and ad-hoc finance projects to support broader business goals.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar full-function accounting role, ideally within a commercial environment.
- CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong overall Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally across all levels of the business.
- Sound problem-solving abilities and the confidence to work independently while contributing to team outcomes.
- Proactive, organised, and self-motivated, with a focus on continuous improvement.
