Position: APS4 Practice Officer
Location: Maroochydore, QLD
Type: Labour Hire (12-month contract, with possible extension)
Pay Rate: $50 per hour + super
Hours: 37.5 per weekAbout the Role We are seeking an APS4 Practice Officer to join a multidisciplinary team supporting the delivery of high-quality mental health and wellbeing services for veterans and their families.As a Practice Officer, you will provide frontline customer service, operational, and administrative support to ensure the smooth delivery of clinical and wellbeing services. You will play a key role in client-facing services, stakeholder engagement, office management, and service delivery support.Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver front-of-house and administrative support across service delivery streams.
  • Provide customer service to clients via reception and telephone.
  • Act as the first escalation point for clients, health providers, and stakeholders.
  • Manage client referrals to internal and external providers, ensuring accuracy in records and correspondence.
  • Coordinate logistics and administration for group programs and workshops.
  • Support onboarding and training of new staff and contracted providers.
  • Undertake financial management tasks, including invoice processing, procurement drafting, and expenditure tracking.
  • Manage office resources, IT, travel, and property requirements for the service centre.
  • Assist in reporting, quality assurance, compliance, audits, and operational data collation.
  • Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, diversity, and APS values and principles.
Mandatory Requirements
  • Professional experience in business operations or service delivery within a health or government environment.
  • Australian Citizenship (required under the Public Service Act 1999).
Desirable Skills
  • Experience supporting mental health or clinical service environments.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Financial administration and reporting experience.
