is seeking an experienced media production specialist who thrives when working in (or strives to work in) all forms of modern media including video, audio, still photography, graphic design, and 3D/VR technologies. We also work closely with Adobe and a full knowledge of the whole Creative Cloud suite is an added benefit. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic, highly driven, and methodical Production Specialist to further their career within a collaborative, diverse and rewarding work environment.Reporting to the Learning Design and Production Lead, working with the learning design team and educational media production, the successful candidate will develop and coordinate the end-to-end production of high-quality video and digital media content and resources in collaboration with academic and professional staff.Key Accountabilities
  • Design, develop and implement educational media resources and tailored educational design solutions in collaboration with academic staff and stakeholders including creative content.
  • Apply expert knowledge and technical skills to create various types of educational multimedia including 'talking head' videos and interviews, storytelling, instructional animations, technical demonstrations, graphics, and photography, all designed to support pedagogical objectives.
  • Work closely with both academic and professional staff to coordinate and deliver digital media productions, including pre-production, production, and post-production of digital media resources and content.
  • Lead the creative aspects of the faculty's media productions, ensuring production is of high quality and meets quality assurance, pedagogical and Macquarie University branding requirements and guidelines.
  • Ensure the delivery of all aspects of production on allocated projects in accordance with the production schedule, including, editing, backup and archiving of projects.
  • Manage and provide mentoring/coaching to a team of junior videographers.
  • Support academics in the creation of their own media by providing advice and detailing best practice.
About YouYou will have a proven track record of applying your creative knowledge and technical skills in the end-to-end production of high-quality video and digital media content. You will have extensive experience with all forms of video production and editing. Your strong communications and stakeholder management skills will ensure your success in this role. Experience and knowledge of the Education sector (preferably Higher Education) would be an advantage.About UsThe is a young and dynamic faculty driven by the spirit of discovery.   • An appropriate qualification in multimedia Production or a related discipline and / or relevant industry experience in the production of high-quality video and other multimedia content.
  • Extensive experience with all forms of video production and editing. Experience with photography is desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, Media Encoder, desirable: After Effects).
  • Experience in utilising a range of lighting and sound equipment.
  • An understanding of digital user experience principles; along with adult learning principles and outcomes is desirable.
  • Advanced computer skills in online collaboration tools including Office 365 suite.
