- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of the perioperative patient.
- Recognise the changing needs of clients and act to meet those needs.
- Respond to changes in the patient’s anaesthetic condition.
- Perform clinical procedures commensurate with the level of educational preparation/competency.
- Pre-empt and protect the rights and safety of the patient.
- Undertake other duties as required/directed as service needs change or grow, consistent with the above and within the scope of the position.
- Diploma of Anaesthetic Technology or equivalent.
- Proficiency in the delivery of anaesthetic care.
- Skilled coordination of anaesthetic care.
- Progression in attaining knowledge of current anaesthetic practice and trends.
- Previous experience as an Anaesthetic Technician in an acute healthcare facility.
