About the OrganisationSet within beautiful grounds in the seaside suburb of Hove, Alwyndor delivers on-site residential living and support at home services, along with therapy and wellbeing services that empower the people in our communities to live healthy, engaged and fulfilled lives.Alwyndor’s welcoming, high-quality facilities include 144 residential, dementia, respite care beds, transitional and care awaiting placement beds, together with allied health, therapy and wellness programs, and home support packages that support people in Adelaide’s southern metro communities.About the OpportunityThe food services assistant works to the highest quality standards, ensuring all foods are handled and prepared according to the Food Safety Program.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Handling, sorting and distributing food items
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene in the main kitchen and serveries
  • Have a clear understanding of the dietary needs of residents
  • Understand the different textures and plating methods for textured modified foods
  • Assist residents with their requests
  • Enhancing the dining experience in our dining rooms
About YouTo be successful, you will have:
  • A Food Handling Qualification (desired, but not essential)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • A respectful and friendly approach to residents and colleagues
  • Commitment to maintaining high-quality service and standards
Availability:
  • Across a 7-day roster
  • Shifts: 6:45am – 2:45pm | 3:00pm – 8:00pm
