Your work will directly support the delivery of high-quality day-labour services that align with the goals of Council’s Community Strategic Plan.Reporting to the Parks Maintenance Team Leader, you will carry out a range of operational tasks and activities that help the team meet its performance targets and service commitments. You’ll work collaboratively within a supportive team environment and engage with internal stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of services that benefit the local community.This role is ideal for someone who is community-focused, takes pride in outdoor work, and thrives in a team setting. You’ll be working closely with the Parks and Streetscape Operations Manager, Coordinator Parks & Sportsfields Maintenance, and your Team Leader to contribute to the ongoing success and improvement of Council’s green spaces.Please read the to familiarise yourself with all the requirements and conditions of the role.$61,783.28 - $67,504.32 + 12% SuperannuationSome of the required skills, experience and qualificationsEssential Criteria * Relevant horticultural qualification OR equivalent industry experience in parks and sportsfields operations.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn to use field devices (eg. tablets) for managing daily team work plans.

  • Class C Motor Vehicle Driver’s Licence.
  • Suitable level of fitness to perform the inherent duties of the position.
Desirable Criteria * Experience working in Local Government.
  • ChemCert or equivalent qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience with field devices (eg. tablets) for managing daily team work plans.
