Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager with the delivery of Fire system projects from the initial design and engineering through to managing final commissioning.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting the Project Manager with the delivery of Fire system design and installation projects
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of fire services application and design requirements.
  • Assessment of customer sites.
  • Preparing submittals aligned with engineering standards.
  • Planning / scheduling of project engineering execution including attendance at builder's design Meetings.
  • Lead software development, perform 'bench testing' if required and deliver commissioning packages to field technicians.
  • Providing technical support to technicians.
Key Experience & Capabilities:
  • Experience with design and construction of complex fire systems.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of Fire system principles and designs.
  • 5+ years-experience in Fire industry
  • Ability to design, plan and schedule large projects related to fire engineering.
  • Proven track record in a project engineering capacity involved in the delivery of technology-based Fire Security projects.
  • Understanding of Railway Fire protection - desirable.
  • Previous exposure to a site based, construction environment.
  • Previous experience working with highly complex electronic security fire management systems solution.
  • Strong PC Skills along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
