Your Role
  • Plan and prepare nutritious, seasonal meals and snacks for children
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked kitchen
  • Order supplies and manage inventory
  • Work closely with educators to meet children’s dietary requirements
  • Support the centre’s mealtime routines and assist where needed
  • Continue learning about nutrition for different age groups, particularly infants
Role Details:
  • Days: Wednesday and Thursday (with the possibility of extra shifts to cover annual leave)
  • Schedule: One day working alongside our Head Cook and one day working independently
  • Hours: 6:30am – 2:30pm OR 7:00am – 3:00pm
  • Training: Full support and training provided by our Head Chef

  • A Food Safety Handling Certificate
  • Strong knowledge of dietary requirements and allergy management
  • A practical understanding of food budgeting and planning
  • Cooking experience in early childhood settings (desirable but not essential)
  • A commitment to supporting children’s growth, development, and wellbeing through food
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
