About UsHitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.The OpportunityWith strong growth in our Remanufacturing (Component rebuild) division, Hitachi is actively seeking a motivated individual to join our afternoon team in the position of Workshop Fitter. This opportunity will see you assemble, maintain and repair a to customer specifications and provide quality diagnostic and general maintenance service in a professional, timely manner.Based in our Forrestdale branch, you will also be responsible for:

You will be trained to perform major component overhauls on a wide range of components
Ensuring all work carried out is performed in a safe manner
Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork and reports
Maintain a clean and tidy working environment in line with the company's 5S standards

To be successful in this role:

You will have relevant trade qualifications
Have a strong mechanical aptitude and be willing to learn
Heavy Rigid drivers licence and High Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc) would be highly regarded
A safety focus with a good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles

Good communication skills and a dedication to providing quality work for an OEMBenefits
