- deliver a broad range of evidence informed intervention strategies, standardised assessments and parent training to increase communication and active participation in social and educational settings for children;
- undertake face to face consultation and relationship building in natural environments, schools and kindergartens as well as our modern office facilities and therapy spaces;
- liaise and collaborate with a transdisciplinary team to design and deliver comprehensive support plans; and
- Provide key worker support and advice to families and children in relation to speaking, listening, understanding language, fluency and social skills.
- Provide discipline specific assessment and intervention to children aged 0-12 years and their family with a range of disabilities.
You will have a tertiary qualification within Speech Pathology and hold a current registration with Speech Pathology Australia. Furthermore, you will have specialist knowledge and relevant demonstrated experience within a paediatric practice.Key Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualified in Speech Pathology with current and ongoing registration with Speech Pathology Australia with a minimum of 4 years' experiencing managing, supervising and leading staff.
- Knowledge and experience to assess children from 0 to 12 with a variety of clinical and developmental needs, such as autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome and global developmental delay.
- Knowledge and skills in intervention and evaluation of services for children and families.
- Build trusting working relationships with both children and families in addition to the Early Intervention and Therapy Service team.
- Openness to continuous quality improvement that allows ongoing leaning and growth as part of a high performing team.
- Knowledge in the assessment and prescription of assistive technology to support communication needs.
- Ability to manage own caseload to meet consumer needs and organisational KPIs.
- A current Victorian Drivers' Licence, as this role involves outreach visits, including school, kinder and home sessions.
- Willingness to promote and support practices that are inclusive, culturally responsive, safe and accessible.
- Willingness to undertake relevant pre-employment screening and checks - including NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check, Pre-Employment Medical and Working with Children Check.
