The RoleReporting to the Senior Legal Counsel and working as part of an in-house global legal team, the Corporate Legal Counsel provides comprehensive legal advice on a wide range of commercial matters, helping to maximise business opportunities and protect the group and its people. This role plays a crucial part in safeguarding the company’s legal interests and supporting informed decision-making across the organisation. This includes:
  • Assisting the assist the Senior Legal Counsel to provide exceptional legal services to all of the Australasian business units
  • Provide advice on areas such as contract, commercial, property and compliance for both Australia and NZ
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, privacy, marketing, evaluating the impact of new legislation, and advising on statutory compliance in both Australia and NZ

  • Australian qualified solicitor with unrestricted practicing certificate
  • 2-3 years of experience practicing corporate law, commercial law, or related areas, either in a law firm or in-house legal department
  • Proven experience in drafting and reviewing contracts
  • Experience in leasing will be advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
