The RoleReporting to the Senior Legal Counsel and working as part of an in-house global legal team, the Corporate Legal Counsel provides comprehensive legal advice on a wide range of commercial matters, helping to maximise business opportunities and protect the group and its people. This role plays a crucial part in safeguarding the company’s legal interests and supporting informed decision-making across the organisation. This includes:

Assisting the assist the Senior Legal Counsel to provide exceptional legal services to all of the Australasian business units
Provide advice on areas such as contract, commercial, property and compliance for both Australia and NZ
Drafting and reviewing contracts, privacy, marketing, evaluating the impact of new legislation, and advising on statutory compliance in both Australia and NZ

Australian qualified solicitor with unrestricted practicing certificate
2-3 years of experience practicing corporate law, commercial law, or related areas, either in a law firm or in-house legal department
Proven experience in drafting and reviewing contracts
Experience in leasing will be advantageous
Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
