Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role plays a key part in providing professional engineering design and project management services including:

Provide technical engineering services in support of Downer's internal & external clients
Production of mechanical / structural designs and drawings to allow manufacture, installation and commissioning
Provide project management services in support of projects
Semi regular site attendance for client meetings, job inspections and technical support of site project and maintenance activities

About You

Must have and maintain current RPEQ status
6-7 years minimum experience in heavy engineering ideally with exposure and experience in the power generation / process industries
Ability to produce mechanical / structural designs, drawings and specifications to allow successful manufacturing and installation in conformance with the requirements of the customer and relevant standards and codes
Drafting skills (Autodesk Inventor and AutoCad desirable)
Good written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards
Provide supervision and mentoring to other staff members
Zero harm to our people, clients and assets in Sector
Working knowledge of business bids, estimating and proposal procedures
