WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?We're offering an exciting ongoing full-time opportunity to join the Aboriginal Health Directorate as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner (Trainee). Based at Mount Barker Hospital, this role will support Aboriginal patients across hospital and outpatient settings, ensuring culturally safe care is embedded in everything we do. As part of your traineeship, you'll receive supervision and support while working toward your qualifications, gaining the experience you need to become a registered Aboriginal Health Practitioner.You'll work within a strong Aboriginal Health Team that respects cultural knowledge, supports professional development, and is committed to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal people.WHO ARE WE?The Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network runs from Kangaroo Island to Eudunda, wrapping all the way around our metropolitan areas (this position is in Mount Barker).   • Provide culturally safe care, advocacy and support for Aboriginal patients in hospital or attending outpatient services
  • Work with clinical teams to support patient assessments, care planning and discharge in a culturally respectful way
