Our Team:Thales AMS (Airspace Mobility Solutions) is providing leading edge airspace control and security solutions for the commercial and defence sectors, as well as digital solutions for Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) and Digital Aviation.AMS represents revenues of over 500 million Euros worldwide and is the global market leader in the Air Traffic Management space, and one of the most credible players in the new UTM space.We control 11% of the global airspace with our technologies and we continue to strive to be at the forefront of the air traffic management space.Your Role:The Network Engineering Team Lead is responsible in leading the delivery team across network implementation & automation activities for our OneSky program. Coming with expertise in network automation, your core responsibilities will include:

Define/design the deliverables, guarantee the output of each team member is at the expected quality.
Supports the Work Package Manager in establishing the detailed schedule of the activities to be performed.
Responsible to help the team deliver to the needs of the project and in line with the direction of the Work Package Manager.

This position is based onsite at our Tullamarine testing facility as well as having some visibility at our office in Melbourne CBDWhat you’ll bring:As a team technical lead:

Demonstrated experience in engineering management
Experience with collective decisions and conflict resolutions
Well respected by peers, recognized leadership skills with people
Strong convictions, but open to give serious consideration to alternative points of views
Expert of the discipline

As a network engineer:

Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science discipline or any other relevant fields, with at least 5 years of relevant experience
Familiarity with a wide range of Computer and Networking hardware (Cisco & Juniper)
Strong experience and knowledge in network automation (Ansible / Python)
Experience in large and distributed networked computer systems is a highly desirable
