Access theAs a Manager - Regional and Spatial Planningyou will:
- Manage, influence and lead the development and delivery of regional plans to achieve the government election commitment.
- Plan and allocate resources to effectively manage staff to accomplish work goals, drive productivity, and review performance to ensure goal achievement and overall effectiveness.
- Provide leadership, mentor, coach and develop staff to provide advice on land use planning issues and create a workplace environment that is consistent with the department's culture and values.
- Coordinate and manage the delivery of research, analysis and interpretation of complex data and trends to inform regional plan policies under relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- Collaboratively solve complex problems, build a case for change, and communicate the outcomes effectively.
- Work collaboratively and negotiate with senior management, project teams, government agencies and external stakeholders to ensure regional planning project outcomes are achieved.
- Coordinate, lead and attend meetings, consultation activities, forums, committees and negotiations with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key project stakeholders, including federal and state agencies, local governments, infrastructure entities, industry associations and technical experts.
- Manage and oversee the preparation of high-quality correspondence, submissions, presentations, briefs and reports on complex and sensitive issues for the delivery of projects.
