We are expanding our planning team and seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planner to support the delivery of major water infrastructure projects across Australia. This is a key opportunity to contribute to projects that drive innovation, sustainability, and long-term community impact.About the RoleAs a Senior Planner, you will play a pivotal role in developing and managing project planning and monitoring systems that provide critical insights into time and cost performance. You’ll collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain detailed project programmes to track progress and performanceConduct risk assessments on cost schedules to identify potential delays or disputesPrepare cost forecasts and completion estimates to support financial planningCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparencyProvide regular programme updates to Area Managers and support site teams with planning and reportingReview monthly status reports and ensure construction programmes meet tender and delivery requirementsIdentify and report on milestones, critical path activities, and long-lead itemsImplement change management processes and formal approval procedures for programme adjustmentsSupport budget management and ensure timely, high-quality programme deliveryAct as the primary contact for clients regarding programme changes and evolving project needsDevelop performance metrics to track client satisfaction, team efficiency, and project timelinesMonitor financial performance and support senior managers in enhancing commercial outcomesRequired Skills and CompetenciesWhat We’re Looking ForStrong influencing and stakeholder engagement skillsExcellent multitasking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilitiesIn-depth knowledge of project scheduling, program logic, and construction methodologiesProven leadership and team coordination experienceWorking knowledge of HS&E requirements and their practical applicationProficiency in MS Office and planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)Qualifications & ExperienceDegree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related disciplineMinimum of 8 years’ experience in planning and/or project management within the construction or engineering sectorsValid Australian driver’s licenseWillingness to travel interstate and occasionally internationallyWhy Join ACCIONA Agua?At ACCIONA, we’re committed to building a better planet through sustainable infrastructure.
